Our bespoke process to meet your needs.

1.

Initial
Consultation.

Following initial contact, we will email our budget costs guide which is a very useful tool to help you navigate your way through essential technologies and those which are more of a luxury. This is also an excellent resource when establishing your overall budget and useful when applying for a mortgage.

The next key step is that we have a meeting where we will present a detailed quotation to you which gives you an opportunity to ask questions and be assured about the renewable energy system we have designed for you.

We strongly advise getting us on board at the very early stages, even at the Building Control application stage, in the event that Architect’s drawings need adjustments to accommodate some of our equipment.

2.

Project
Costings.

Upon establishing the brief, we prepare a detailed proposal and quote. If this is acceptable, we then conduct a site survey and finalise any loose ends.

Process and payment stages are set out before agreeing a contract. We will advise you of the next stages and ensure that you are kept right throughout the build process.

3.

Grant Application
Process.

Currently there are no grants available in Northern Ireland.

If in Scotland, we will help you through the grant application process, which can be a minefield in itself. You will simply need to insert your personal details and send off to the relevant grant issuing body.

4.

Project
Design.

We design a bespoke system to suit your specific needs. The system will be tailored to your site, plans, budget and lifestyle aspirations. This includes sizing each component to match your output requirements. Our calculations, schematic drawings and design drawings are undertaken by qualified Environmental Building Services Engineers and the company holds relevant PI Insurance to guarantee system designs.

5.

Future Proofed.

Daly designs all its Renewable Energy Systems to suit the scale of the building. Our systems are adjustable to changing needs whether it is the family home adapting when younger family members decide to spread their wings, or as commercial buildings need to adapt to the ever-changing business landscape. We will work with you to adapt your system as needed.

At the outset we help you decide which technologies should take priority based on budget and any grants (if available). We then design and install the system so that other technologies can be easily retrofitted later.

Thinking of an electric car in the future?
We can advise on wiring requirements during the build process so that the first-fix infrastructure leaves the installation of the home charging point simply “plug and play”.

6.

On-site Co-ordination with Trades.

We project manage the installation of your renewable energy system, issuing specifications and drawings to other trades.

7.

Site Installation.

We have a team of experienced plumbers and electricians who can carry out the complete installation, making it ready for commissioning by our engineers.

Having an experienced installation team on board results in a smooth commissioning process. We have trained with all the manufacturers we work with and know their products inside out.

We will communicate frequently with you throughout the build process and be on-site when you need us to be.

8.

Commissioning.

Site visits are made by the Daly engineers during the installation process and all system installations are checked before commissioning.

The commissioning of the systems is one of the most important aspects of the project and should not be underestimated. At Daly, we tweak and re-tweak systems until we are sure our clients are getting a system which they will find extremely effective, efficient, easy to operate and requires very little maintenance.

9.

System Demo & Handover.

Daly engineers conduct a handover with a full demonstration of your system, ensuring you are comfortable with using it. We set your system and controls so that they are easily manageable. But don’t worry, we will keep in close contact with you to ensure that your system is working at its most efficient and that you are getting the comfort levels you expect.

We also provide you with a handover pack with all the relevant manuals, guarantees and Daly contact details.

10.

Lifetime Maintenance.

We provide lifetime maintenance for all our systems, although they are relatively low maintenance anyhow – gone is the era of the yearly boiler services.

Our team of service engineers are fully trained to maintain our renewable energy systems. The maintenance schedule is detailed in your handover pack.

We keep spare parts in stock should a call-out be required and we aim to be on site within 24-48 hours to resolve any issues.
